Day 1 Bees are buzzing

Day 1 of our 30 Days Wild.

My family and I live at the foot of the Mournes.
We've had a glorious day and as I write this the Sun is going down happy with not a cloud in sight. I've decided to blog our way through this challenge as a way of keeping us accountable to doing something wild each day. It'll be more of a photograph diary than anything else.
First thing this morning when I went outside to appreciate the Sunshine I saw 2 finches having a fight on the roof of our cottage. This amused me immensely.
All ready for the month ahead
We then proceeded to enjoy our breakfast outside. My hubby also saw a red kite up close when he was driving in his car.
Trying to engage my 11 year old son in wildlife spotting proved to be a challenge in itself as he prefers to be gaming on his devices than walking in our back garden. However when it came to his grandparents ponies he fed them some grass. I have photographic evidence.

Feeding the ponies the wild grasses from our hedge.

I hope that by the end of the challenge our son will be as enthusiastic as both my hubby and I are. More photos to follow tomorow but want to  finish with a photo of my favourite wild flowers that always grow in our back garden.
